Description

I was fortunate to be able to catch the Seagull over 2 nights as it skimmed the tree tops in my backyard. This is a really beautiful object in the southern sky, on the border of Monoceros and Canis Major.
Longer exposures in narrowband show significant OIII emission along the bottom of the nebula - I think I got a hint of that after four hours.

Description: Endless cloudy nights, so more processing practice and improvements on old images. I'm on the slow track with Pixinsight, but for this revision on the Seagull I took it the farthest I've been yet. I was impressed at how well color calibration worked this time in PI, since until now I couldn't get it to do any better than Photoshop. Baby steps!
